Dear friends,
When I started Logisoft in 2010, the RoRo and finished vehicle logistics industry was drowning in spreadsheets, manual processes, and disconnected systems. Freight forwarders were copying data between emails and Excel files. Terminal operators were tracking vehicles on paper. Shipping lines had no real visibility into what was happening at the yard. And the software companies that claimed to serve this industry? They were building for container shipping and trying to make it fit RoRo. Anyone who has spent a day on a RoRo terminal knows that does not work.
I did not come from a software background trying to find a market. I went into the yards. I walked the terminals. I boarded the vessels. I sat in the offices of freight forwarders and watched how they actually managed bookings, documentation, and invoicing. I visited destinations and saw firsthand how cargo was received, processed, and delivered. Every workflow, every pain point, every workaround, I studied it all from the ground up. That is where Logisoft was born. Not in a boardroom, but on the dock.
The early days were not easy. We were a small team with big ambitions, building software for a niche that most technology companies did not bother to understand. But that was exactly our advantage. While others tried to retrofit container logistics tools into RoRo operations, we built purpose-made solutions: terminal operating systems, transport management, stowage planning, digital portals. Each one designed specifically for the way this industry actually works.
Over the years, that approach has not changed. We still build software the way we always have: by understanding the industry deeply, thinking before we code, and holding ourselves to high standards. Every feature, every module, every line of code reflects our commitment to getting things right for RoRo and finished vehicle logistics.
Today, Logisoft serves businesses across the globe, processing millions of shipments and hundreds of millions of dollars in invoiced volume. We have achieved 100% customer retention, not because our clients are locked in, but because we earn their trust every single day. That is the metric I am most proud of.
I am also proud of the team we have built. Our developers have learned the details of RoRo operations through years of close collaboration with our customers, through their stories, their challenges, and their day-to-day realities. Every member of our team understands not just the code they write, but the real-world operations it powers. They care about the work, they hold each other to high standards, and they push each other to grow. I could not ask for a better group of people to share this mission with.
Looking ahead, RoRo and finished vehicle logistics is at a turning point. The shift to digital is no longer optional, it is essential. And unlike general logistics platforms that treat our industry as an afterthought, we are fully committed to it. We will keep innovating, keep listening, and keep building the specialized tools that shipping lines, terminal operators, and freight forwarders in this space truly need.
Thank you for being part of this journey, whether you are a customer, a partner, a team member, or simply someone who believes that RoRo logistics deserves purpose-built technology. We are just getting started.
With gratitude,
Tarek Saab
