The Port of Cork Company receives new trade cars at Ringaskiddy, where they are held in a storage facility before moving on to dealerships. In January 2024 the port allocated a new temporary storage area at Paddy's Point in Ringaskiddy after the existing facility reached capacity. The port expected approximately 50,000 trade cars to pass through in 2024 and is exploring a multi-storey car storage facility at Ringaskiddy for up to 6,000 cars at a time.
