Port of Townsville: RoRo and Vehicle Terminals
The Port of Townsville imports cars, trucks and wheeled machinery and describes itself as the motor vehicle import hub for northern Australia. It spent $2.5 million doubling the Berth 10 secondary RoRo wharf from 55 metres to 110 metres so that larger car carriers can berth, a project completed in October 2020. At that time the port put its imports at about 15,000 cars a year.
